Nokia is to offer its patented technology to open source developers to develop the Linux operating system. Linux should be more extendable to include mobile devices and mission-critical telecoms infrastructure. IBM recently published 500 patents, that can be included, free of charge in open-source projects. Red Hat a Linux seller allows its patents to be included in Linux developments. |
