Java Enterprise System Boosted With ID Management

Java Enterprise System has been boosted with release 3, from supplier Sun Microsystems.

Identity management in particular is to the fore. Sun Java System Identity Manager has been bundled in with Java ES3. Sun claims that Identity Manager protects sensitive data, increases efficiency and reduced ID management costs.

The savings come from eliminating the manual creation, maintenance and deletion of personal data. The holy grail is to increase accessibility whilst at the same time increasing security.

Multi-platform support is available with Java ES3 for all major commercial platforms, including Windows 2000, Windows XP, Linux, HP-UX and Solaris 10 on both Sparc and x86.

Sun have also made sure that it is compliant with all regulatory requirements.

The cost is £78 per employee, per year.
