WINS Flaw Attacks Increasing

A flaw in the Windows Internet Naming Services (WINS) is increasingly being used as means of gaining entry to networks. Even though Microsoft has released a patch some companies have not installed it yet. The Sans Institute Internet Storm Centre and the Research and Education Networking Information Sharing and Analysis cenetre (US) have both reported increasing numbers of attempted attacks.
